Obituary of Joyce Hall
Joyce Irene Hall passed away peacefully in the hospital on December 20, 2020. She was 87.
Born in Portland, OR to Kenneth G. Jacobs and Irene Melcher Jacobs on September 1, 1933. She attended Vernon Grade School and Jefferson High School. After working for Pacific Northwest Bell for several years she attended Portland State College and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree.
After graduating she taught for the U. S. Department of Defense in Japan and Germany. Returning to Portland, she taught at Wilkes Elementary School in Portland until her retirement.
She married Virgil J. Hall in 1971. Their marriage ended in divorce.
She did beautiful work with her counted cross stitch projects and knitted many baby blankets.
Joyce is survived by her brother, Thomas C. Jacobs (Louise), nephews Thomas M. (Monica) Jacobs and Kevin L. Jacobs, and niece Kristin Lopez. She was preceded in death by her parents.
