Obituary of Wayne Johnson
Wayne passed away on December 11th, 2020 of cancer. Wayne was surrounded by his wife, son and his grandchildren. He was 73 years old at the time of his death. Wayne and Sue were married on July 25th, 1966. He was drafted in the United States Army in September 1966. He was honorably discharged in 1968 as a Sargent.
In 1969, Wayne and Sue had a daughter named Brenda (1969-2017). They welcomed their son, Larry in 1973, who lives in Newberg today.
Wayne worked for Ray Go Wagner as a mechanic and heavy equipment painter. He retired from Allied Systems as a heavy equipment painter in 2007.
His survivors are Susan of 54 years, his son Larry and his wife, Kelly; his 8 grandkids and 2 great grandkids. His grandkids are Tyler and Brandi Johnson, Haley and Tyler Schultz, Cody and Eddie Bell, Alex and Zoe Johnson. His two great grandkids are Aria and Casey. Wayne has one surviving sister, Margie.
Wayne was born in Ada, Minnesota on May 20th, 1947. Wayne was laid to rest with military honors at Willamette National Cemetery.
