Obituary of Robin Selig
Faye Roberson Tudor Selig (aka Robin, Mom, Aunt Robin, and Grandma Robin) passed away on December 16, 2020 in Portland, Oregon at the age of 72.
Robin was born in Hammond, Indiana on March 15, 1948, but lived most of her life in Los Angeles and Portland. She loved music and had a rich singing voice. She performed in community theater, bars, churches, and in her car. Later in life she became an ordained minister, organized a musical celebration at her church, performed weddings, and produced a CD of spiritual music. She was a pop culture whiz, often called upon by her friends and family, pre-Internet, to summon the names of actors and musicians. She was also good with numbers and worked in accounts payable and payroll for many organizations.
Robin's chief joy was her family. She enjoyed every visit and phone call. She raised her two daughters as a single mom often under difficult circumstances. She doted on her grandson. She will be remembered for her light-hearted nature, sense of humor, uproarious laughter, and easy way of making friends.
Robin is survived by her daughters Chris and Jessica, grandson Quinn, siblings David, Susie and Kathy, son-in-law Scott, eight nephews, many grand nieces and nephews, and so many friends.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made in her memory to the Ethos music program in Portland https://ethos.ejoinme.org/. A roving memorial service to scatter her ashes in the places she and her daughters love will be planned in 2021.
