Obituary of Eugene J. Sippel
Salem – November 10, 1950 – November 30, 2020
Eugene Sippel passed away peacefully at home with family members by his side.
Eugene was born in Aberdeen, South Dakota and moved to Oregon when he was 10. He was the 3rd of 7 children to Mary and Melvin Sippel.
Eugene was a Journeyman Mill Wright until he Retired. Eugene was extremely talented in many areas. There were not many tasks he could not do or figure out. He was always willing to lend a hand when he was able and taught many great skills to his Nieces and Nephews.
Eugene’s pride and joy was his Harley Davidson that he road until he was no longer able to. He had many stories from Sturgis. He was also involved with Teddy Bear runs to support children in the hospitals. Family was of top priority to Eugene. Eugene cared for so many people and was an extremely generous soul! You could never have a visit without him saying something funny. He welcomed many into his home. We are all so fortunate to have him in our lives. He filled the role of a father/grandfather to many.
Although Geno has been weak and struggling for many years, he fought a long fight... he is no longer in pain and this helps us cope with loosing someone whom we loved dearly.
Eugene had 14 Nieces and Nephews, 8 Greats Nieces and Nephews, and 2 Great Great Nieces that he was very involved with who looked at him as Grandpa. We will all miss him tremendously.
Eugene was preceded in death by his Father, Mother, Sister Jeanette and Brother David
