Obituary of Micke Noyes Ford Sweet

It is with utmost sorrow that we say goodbye to one of God’s finest, Micke Noyes Ford Sweet, who passed away on 04 November 2020, at the age of 93 years 10 months, in Vancouver, WA.   Micke was born January 17, 1927 in Salt Lake City, UT to Arthur Pratt Ford and Evelyn Caroline Dieterle.

A graduate of Granite High School in Salt Lake City”, she was a cheerleader, liked to sing in assemblies and worked at ZCMI. She married Hugh Samuel Wilkinson, later divorced.  Then she married Stanley Cary Sweet, also divorced.

She lived in Covina, CA for many years, where she raised five children.  There she worked at Royal Oak High School as a secretary for most of that time.  She moved to Tualatin, OR 29 years ago to be near her sister.  The past 17 months she lived in Vancouver, WA, near her daughter.

She lived a long, healthy life and was ever grateful.  She leaves behind five loving children: Michael Kane Wilkinson (Sandy), Hesperia, CA; , Randall Ford Wilkinson (Verda), Nampa, ID; Dana Cary Sweet, Tualatin, OR; Jody Alan Sweet, Pegram, TN; Caroline Evelyn Lawson (Randy), Vancouver, WA and 8 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.    She was preceded in death by her parents, all her siblings and one great-grandson.

For those fortunate enough to have called her mother or friend, she was a beacon of light in a world searching for a spark.  The love she gave so effortlessly and freely will live within us all for the rest of our days.

To her final day, she yearned to be reunited with her loving parents.  They are together at last. What a beautiful homecoming it must have been.

Mom, no words could ever express the profound gratitude we feel for you as you shared your countless kindnesses and all too short time with us.  We shall not forget.

You were an angel who made this world a better place and now it’s time to do the same in heaven. Rest well sweet lady, we’ll see you on the other side.

Mickie’s family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to Aging Gracefully Family Home and to Community Home Health & Hospice in Vancouver Washington. They were at her side when she needed them most.
