Obituary of Reginald Dean Lewis
Reginald Dean Lewis was born November 21, 1952 was born in Detroit, Michigan and is preceded in death by his parents Margaret Lewis Milton Mother and step father Monroe Milton, brother Timothy Edward Lewis and his grandparents Otis & Anna Flora Woolfolk Lewis.
During his youth Reggie, as we all liked to call him, moved to the Pacific NW in his teen years and the family made Portland, OR their home. He attended school at Jefferson High School and later in his adult life received an Associate Degree in Auto Mechanics from Portland Community College.
For over 22 years he was married to the love of his life Flora and would always say “At first sight he knew she was the one for him.”
He was father to three lovely children with Daisy Hunt; David Maurice 43, Regina Rashae 41 & Rachael Lanae 37 and always spoke well of them and lifted them in prayer that they would find the peace that he encountered by having a relationship with God.
Military service; Reggie served in military service with the US Navy and pursue Aviation and received an Honorable Discharge.

Reggie was employed for many years with Portland Adventist Hospital. Because he enjoyed working with his hands and. Tinkering on objects immediately after completing his degree he began work as a Certified Auto Mechanic where he would go on to provide many years of quality auto mechanic services to his family, church member and friends in the Portland and Vancouver areas. Everyone who knew him cherished his unique ability to provide dependable and competitive auto repair prices and even a credit line when the need arose. We can only imagine how many were blessed by this service.
He was also an active member of Your Bible Speaks SDA Church and served as a church deacon and enjoyed working as a Bible Worker in the NW and SW regions of the SDA church. He was excited that he was invited to worked alongside many known pastors and evangelists and the satisfaction in spreading the gospel and showing people the way to know Jesus Christ through prayer and bible study. In fairness to him, this truly was the work he loved the most!
In his spare time, Reggie enjoyed cracking jokes, and loved to see a smile on your face in good times and bad. He was an excellent cook who often came up with unique dishes and he and his wife would provide meals at church and annual Convocations.

Longtime friends include the Allen, Mashai, Donaldson, Hudson, Cochran, Paris & Graham families and many others who were near and dear friends throughout his life time.
It cannot be said how he loved and cherished his church family and friends and because there was so many we did not have room to list them..
Burial; Cremated remains will be held unto a later date and scattered when appropriate.
