Oregon of Covid-19 related complications on October 4, 2020. His education included a
Bachelor’s degree from Pacific Lutheran University, a PhD from the University of Oregon, a

Heather were added to their family. He was a member of Village Baptist Church for 20 years,
where he served on the board and sang in the choir. He was a raft captain for Son City Raft

Peter loved Jesus, his family, his many friends and apple fritters. He was a Godly
example of a husband, Dad, Papa, Grandpa and friend. Especially in his last years he would
always say, “I sit here in my recliner, and look at our family portrait (taken for his 70th birthday) and remember how God has led us through the years.”

Peter is preceded in death by his parents and his daughter, Heather Carlin. He is
survived by Joan, his loving wife of 54 years, his daughter, Kristin (David) Hamann,

Peter’s ashes will be scattered in a private gathering, with a Celebration of Life to be
held at a later date.
