Obituary of Jewell J. Lett
August 4, 1911 - February 5, 2010 Jewell was born August 4, 1911 in Leedey, Oklahoma. She lived in California for many decades, then moved to Utah and Colorado before settling in Portland, Oregon in 2002, where she died February 5, 2010. Jewell graduated from Leedey High School in 1931. She married Russell Elmer Lett and raised three daughters. Jewell was a talented painter, seamstress, crocheter, quilter and journal writer. She loved walking, camping and fishing and she traveled all over the world. Jewell is survived by her daughter Deborah Lett Bernstein and son-in-law Robert Bernstein from Portland, OR; her daughter Beverly Jean Lackey and son-in-law Bill Lackey from Roseburg, OR; her daughter Yvette Sandin and son-in-law Robert Sandin from Reno, NV; her brother-in-law Herman Lett and sister-in-law Bernice Lett from Mountain Park, OK; her six grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband and many friends and relatives. Jewell preferred no formal service. Arrangements were by Crown Memorial Center - Portland.
