Obituary of Teri McQuade
Teresa (Teri) McQuade 7/11/59 – 5/3/2020
Teri passed away surrounded by her family on May 3rd, 2020. She was an incredible and caring daughter, big sister, mother, aunt, and friend.
Teri loved spending time with family, soaking up the sun, working in her yard, listening to music/dancing, going to the coast, doing things to make people happy, and the Blazers!
She had a contagious animated excitement over the smallest things and was the life of the party. She was always making people laugh, not always on purpose, and was the first to get people dancing at get-togethers.
Teri was known for her love of the holidays and had decorations for each one (at work and home). 4th of July was a favorite for the backyard bbq’s followed by fireworks and we all looked forward to seeing what she would create for a Halloween costume each year.
The greatest achievement in Teri’s life was her unconditional love and pride for her children, Joey and Chere’. If you knew Teri, you knew all about her kids.
Teri worked at DMV for 30 years and had friends across locations. Her favorite part of the job was issuing kids their first driver’s license. Seeing the excitement in the kids and the pride in the parents made her happy.
Due to COVID-19, the family has tentative plans for a Celebration of Life at Anthony Hall in Sublimity on July 11th at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, please do an act of kindness in Teri’s honor as she so frequently did throughout her lifetime.
