Obituary of Carl Stillwell

Carl Stillwell passed away peacefully on May 24th, 2020 in his home

Carl had the kindest heart, he was a man of honor, a father of nobility and a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather. He was the kindest and most loving man, one of the best men anyone has ever known.

Carl was born in Stevensburg, Kentucky to James and Etta Stillwell He was the second from the youngest of a houseful of children. Later he married Doris after being discharged from the military in WWII.

Carl will also be remembered for helping to begin the local food share that has spread to many churches and agencies and the Gleaners. For his hard work, when he owned Challenger Reforestation, being active in his church with his wife Doris, both volunteered in hospitals, prisons, jails, and many others.

Carl really was a man of God and will be missed by the throngs of people that he helped.

Carl is survived by his wife Doris, five sons and one daughter and multitudes of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, and he is superseded in death by three sons, a celebration of his life will be held for family and close friends in their private residence. We love you and hold you in our hearts.
