Claynette Hemke

Obituary of Claynette Rose Hemke

Claynette Hemke, life long partner of Edward, was forever wrapped in God’s arms on May11th.

Claynette was born to Nancy and Cassius Davis in California in 1944, she was a member of the drill team in high school, graduating in 1962.

Edward and Claynette were married in 1964. She was Mom to Krista (Bob), Karin (Dwayne), and Kim (Brent).

The joys of her life were her grandchildren; Tracy (Craig), Bobby (Alex), Justin (Dez), Matthew (Katie), John, Katie, Scott, and great grandson, Theodore.

She is survived by her loving husband, Edward, brother, Rick (Linda), half sister, Nanette (Gary), and stepfather, Jim (Bonnie).

Claynette was the secretary at her church for several years until she and Edward acquired an Electro-Static painting company in 1987, enjoying years of business ownership. She went on to work as a bookkeeper until her retirement.

Claynette was very involved in Girl Scouts with her daughters where she spent many summers at day camps teaching crafts, which she continued to enjoy.

We are grateful for our fond memories of family camping trips, visits to California, many reunions in Wisconsin, holiday gatherings, and card playing at the table after dinner, where we always had a lot of good laughs.

She loved Hawaii, and was able to visit Maui for a month every year, for many years, with Edward, family and friends.

She was involved in PEO, and never missed an opportunity to socialize or play a competitive round of Scrabble, Mahjong or Bingo. She loved to share her artistic talents with others.

Those who were touched by her found her to be warm, friendly and thoughtful, with a kind smile and delightful laugh. She will be greatly missed.

Celebration of Life to follow.
