Obituary of Denver Buxton
In loving memory of
Denver Ross Buxton
2/5/53 - 5/7/2020
Denver (Denny) Ross Buxton was born to Cal and Patricia Buxton on 5 February 1953, in Portland, OR.
He attended Aloha High School, and was active in football and band, playing several instruments. While in H.S. he also participated in the Law Enforcement Explorer Post for WA County, which led to him moving to Tillamook where he worked as a Tillamook County Sheriff Deputy upon graduating from Aloha class of 1971.
In the late 80’s he started a shuttle service, from PDX and the surrounding area to Mt Hood, called Mt. Hood Express. He managed condos and his business for many years before moving on to working for LabCorp, until he retired due to health issues.
During his years working for LabCorp, Denny (Papa) enjoyed visiting his daughter and grandkids in AZ. He liked to go to “Cowboy Country” where he established a little getaway known to family as “Liberator Rach” where he had planned to move to when he retired.
Due to health/medical issues, he had been in assisted living facilities on and off his last few years. The family wishes to thank the nurses and staff at Deerfield Village Assisted living, for their care and kindness, where he lived his last several months before passing peacefully in his sleep.
Family was always very important to Denver and he left an in depth family history spanning many generations.
His life and memory will be honored by taking his remains to Liberator Ranch where we have fond memories of camping and spending time with him.
I’ll always remember my dad singing and playing the guitar.
And I’ll never forget what he said,
“You always have options and alternatives.”
“Papa loves you!”
We love and miss you Papa, dad, son, brother, uncle, cousin and friend! Until we meet again!
Adios cowboy!
