Joe and Cheryl,
Our warmest condolences for the loss of your Dad. Uncle Bob was an exceptional human being; kind, a loving brother to my mom, Edie, and a fun loving uncle to us! I loved his sense of humor! One time stands out, when he was holding my camera and dropped it, I said, "oh no, you dropped my camera", with out skipping a beat, he said, "well I wouldn't drop my own camera"!!! We laughed and laughed!!! We also loved sharing lake time when we would visit Uncle Bob and Aunt Janet at Beauty View Resort at the Lake of the Ozarks! Uncle Bob will forever live in our hearts!!! Love, Ad and Robin Slentz

Dear Joe and Cheryl - I was so sorry to hear of Uncle Bob's passing, but very thankful that you reached out to Linda so that we would know. We are so fortunate to be able to remember many, many fun family times with all of the cousins, Grandma Gladyce, Grandpa Joe, Aunt Monie, and Great Grandma as well as your Mom and Dad. Those were wonderful times in which to grow up, and I have treasured them over the years. Know that Uncle Bob and Aunt Janet are together again, and if there is a lake in heaven, they're there. Sincere condolences - Sheryl Smoot McCure

Hi Joe Mike - I'm so glad you contacted me to let me know dear Uncle Bob had passed. He was such a quiet but funny guy. Seeing all the pictures you posted made me a little teary eyed, seeing Aunt Janet. They were quite the couple, whether at the lake or traveling in their motor home. They are both missed greatly. My family offers their deepest condolences for your family. Love you - Cousin Linda

Joe & Cheryl,
We are so sorry for your loss and loved your Dad with all our hearts. He loved coming to the Ranch to Deer hunt with Paul.
We used to always offer your Dad one of the kids beds and he insisted he would sleep on the floor in the living room with his sleeping bag. He was such a kind soft spoken man and very grateful to get to stay a few days and hunt. He would play cards all weekend with his other hunting buddies and tell hunting stories. I will always cherish those memories of Uncle Bob. May he be in peace now and with his loved ones. We will miss you so much, Scott and Beth Ratty

I remember the first time you rode the scooter from Woodburn up to our place in Gresham, I was so worried. But I never had to worry about you because you knew your limits. I love you for being a terrific father in law and hope you are having fun with Janet and KC whom I know you loved so much
