Obituary of Charles William Haasl
Charles W. Haasl, age 87, passed away Monday, April 27th, 2020 in his Salem residence with his family by his side.
Charles was born on October 9, 1932, in Circle, Montana, and was raised in Washington.
He enlisted in the U.S. Navy at age 19 and served honorably for five years during the Korean War. He was stationed at the U.S. Navy Air Station in Atsugi, Japan where he achieved the rank of 2nd Class Petty Officer.
He attended college in Oakland, California majoring in Business with a minor in Traffic Management. Charles’s true calling was sales and he thrived in the industry working as a sales representative for many years for S&W Fine Foods, in San Francisco, California.
Left to cherish his memory are his beloved wife, Yolanda (nee Martino), daughter, Christine, son, Robert, and grandchildren, Travis, Dean, and Adam.
Charles and Yolanda have been happily married for 54 years.
