Mom, I’m thinking of you today. I miss you so much. Today would be Gammie’s birthday. You were such a wonderful daughter to your mother. All I can think to do is bring your spirit with me and we together can live this life. You were such a wonderful mother. I wish we had the chance to go back in time and relive certain times together. I would have been a better daughter, but maybe I was a good daughter. I love you always.

Mom, I just miss you so much. I miss talking to you every day. It just still seems like you should not be gone. I don't know how I'm going to get through this. I was okay during the day, then it hit me again tonight. My sweet mother.

Mom, I’m going to be able to get your cheetah clothes. This will be your room, near my plants. It will be a comfortable jungle for your cheetah to live in. I will play the song, In the jungle, the mighty jungle, the lion sleeps tonight. And we can have a cup of coffee in the morning and discuss international news.

Mom, my plants are coming along. I put two of the tomato plants outside for a while today. I'll plant all these vegetables by May 15. I want you to come visit me and I'll cook for you. I can't let you go.

This is the story of Helen,
Told without any yellin'
She loved to sing, she loved to dance,
You should have seen her preen and prance.
Joined the Toastmasters without any fuss,
Wasn't a topic Helen "Talkalot" couldn't discuss.
Helena, Helene, Miss Helen, and Hank,
For that one we have friends Bobbie and Billie to thank.
How could you be gone,
Without one more song?
Oh hell, Len.

Helen loved to dress up. This was taken when we had Chinese lunch at her house, just before Helen moved to Jennings McCall.

Mom, I forgot to add something. I so much appreciate our trip to the Music Center back when Mike and Sam were in their teens. You and I talked about this just a month ago when you were still at Jennings McCall. Today is April 22, Wednesday. You died last Friday. You will never really be gone, though. You will always be here, but just in a different way. We had a great mother-daughter and best friend kind of relationship with ups and downs and everything normal. At the Los Angeles Music Center we walked on the 101 Freeway overpass from Olvera Street where we ate at a Mexican restaurant. Then we walked on Grand, over that 101 Freeway to the Los Angeles Music Center to see The South Pacific. I have such great memories of this. I bought the tape and used to play it all the time. Mom, here's a photo I took of you and Mike and Sam on our walk to the Music Center. Here, also, is a picture of found of you and me. Here's another one from when we made that video together for Sebastian in India. You will be in my heart forever. I'm not joking. I just love you so much.
