Obituary of Thomas DeVore
Thomas Glen DeVore passed away March 1, 2020 in Milwaukie, Oregon following a lengthy battle with cancer. Tom lived his adult life in the Portland area. He was a very active member of AA and developed many strong bonds with friends through that organization. He drove truck for several Portland area companies and ended his career with Clean Harbor Environmental driving between Portland and Eugene. Tom had two passions in life. One was racing and It didn’t matter if it was drag racing or NASCAR. If he couldn’t attend the event you would find him glued to the television watching. The second Passion was for heavy metal bands and he attended very concert he could.
Tom was born February 22, 1962 to Ben and Dorothy DeVore in Klamath Falls. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Tim DeVore, sister Tari DeVore Nelson, and nephew Tyler DeVore Nelson. He is survived by brother and wife Ted and Karen DeVore, brother in-law Gerry Nelson and special friend Amanda Marier. Nephew and wife, Matthew and Kellie DeVore, nieces and husbands, Brandy and Jim Haddock and Tae and Braden Doyle. Grandniece, Olivia DeVore and grandnephews Nick Nelson, Ben Nelson, Brendon Nelson, Vaden Haddock and Destin DeVore.
A celebration of life is planned for March 14th at 11:00am at the New Hope Church at 11731 SE Stevens Road in Happy Valley 97086.
