She was a member of Oregon Dental Assistants Association and served as Portland Chapter President. She was a member of the Portland Vegetarian Society in the mid-60’s and promoted healthy foods throughout her life, though never a full vegetarian. She tied flies at Ollie Damon’s fishing store on SE Hawthorne, and worked at the S&S Market, Albina S&L, Toyland at M&F, Paul Wenner’s Gardenburger, plus secretarial stints at Pinkerton’s Security and ABC Fire Extinguisher. She was a nature, bird and animal lover. She particularly enjoyed the Central Oregon coast, especially spending time in Yachats with her family and friends. She loved traveling around her home state and had a special appreciation for the beauty that surrounded. Her Catholic upbringing and Christian faith were a foundation for her love and dedication to her family and friends, as well as, her service to others. She cared deeply about those around her and was always ready with a smile and helpful gesture. She was beloved by her family and friends. She will be missed by all those who knew her and most of all by her family.
Her family would like to extend our heartfelt deep appreciation to the staff at Molalla Manor who provided a loving and caring experience during the past several years of her life.
She will be buried in a private service at Willamette National Cemetery.
