Mildred Sklenicka
July 27, 1926 – February 20, 2020
Mildred Ann (Petricek) Sklenicka died Thursday February 20th of natural causes after a long period of declining health. She passed away peacefully in Ivy Court Senior Living, Milwaukie Oregon not long after a farewell gathering of her immediate family.
Mildred graduated from South High School in Omaha, Nebraska, then went to work for Woodmen of the World Insurance Company, also in Omaha. She worked there until the age of 21 when she married her sweetheart, Joseph Sklenicka in 1947. She became a loving mother to three boys and a devoted home maker. She loved cooking (always enough for an army), watching wildlife, especially birds, and also loved gardening. She never saw a flower she didn't find beautiful.
She is survived by her sons William and Robert, Robert's wife Teresa and grand-daughters Sara and Rachel.
