Obituary of Kenneth Dale Kappeler

Kenneth Dale Kappeler, born August 31, 1948, in Portland, Oregon, died February 10, 2020, in Portland, Oregon

Kenneth was born to August C. Kappeler and Bertha L. Brockhaus Kappeler. He graduated 1966 from Parkrose High School and earned in 1970 a BS degree in Sociology at Portland State University.

Kenneth was married to Diana Jampsa Kappeler (married 36 years).

Kenneth worked for Crown Zellerbach, Multnomah Kennel Club, United Foam, Multnomah Athletic Club and his last job was with Multnomah County Facilities for 21 years mostly as a Lighting Technician - the job he enjoyed the most. He Belonged to Resurrection Lutheran Church, Portland, Oregon (sporadic attendance)

Kenneth is survived by Wife: Diana Jampsa Kappeler, son Adam D. Kappeler, daughter-in-law Rachael Kappeler, granddaughters Natalie and Oliva, and grandson Sean. Also survived by Bonnie Sanders of Moraga, California.

Kenneth is preceded in death by Brother Douglas Kappeler passed away in 2003.

There will be a celebration of life for Ken on Saturday, February 15th, at 3 pm at the Wooden Chicken Pub 12500 NE Sandy Blvd. Come to toast Ken with family and friends. We have donated Ken's remains for educational purposes. Eventually, he will be cremated and his ashes will be returned to his wife and son for scattering at a favorite fishing hole, along with the ashes of his loyal dog Rosiel
