Obituary of Matthew Phillip Gretzon

Matthew Phillip Gretzon Matthew passed away December 6, 2009 in Yamhill County, Oregon. He was born November 29, 1994 to Rodney and Leisa Gretzon in Oregon City, OR and moved to Salem when he was a few months old with family. He attended local schools in the Salem area, and was currently at McKay High School as a Freshman. Matthew enjoyed playing Baseball, watching Football games on T. V. , as well as watching his school play. He also enjoyed Deep Sea fishing as well as river and lake fishing with family. He loved to hunt and doing whatever outdoor events, especially riding quads at the dunes with the family. He attended Silverton Assembly of God church with his family, was very active in the Youth group as well as the Royal Rangers. Matthew was a fun loving person. He loved to spend time with his family. Matthew always wanted family to come over and often asked them to dinner or other family outings. He often helped people in his neighborhood mowing lawns or whatever was needed. He enjoyed helping others and he also loved to work at the family business with his Mom and Dad. Matthew loved country music, especially Carrie Underwood and Kenny Chesney. One of his favorite songs was “She Thinks my tractor’s Sexy” by Kenny Chesney. Matthew always wanted a little brother and he finally got one a nine month old English bulldog named Rudy. He loved his dogs very much. Matthew is survived by : his parents Rodney and Leisa, his sisters Jamie and Meghan, and Grandmother Mary from Salem. Grandparents Bernita and Leroy from the Portland area and many other aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He will be missed by many who knew Matthew. He was a very caring and giving person who touched many lives. A Celebration of lLife service will be on December 11, 2009 at 12:00PM at Silverton Assembly of God 437 N. James Street Silverton, Oregon
