Obituary of Robert Palmer
Robert “Joe” Palmer, of Milwaukie, passed away at his home on November 22, 2009, at the age of 61. Joe was born in Portland, Oregon, to Robert and Rosemary (Goodwin) Palmer on March 2, 1948. He attended Milwaukie High School before serving briefly in the Navy. He married Lori Beach in Reno, Nevada on the 4th of July of 1996. Joe went on to become a Production Manager for manufactured homes. He spent his free time outdoors, as he loved to ski, snowmobile and camp. Joe is survived by his wife, Lori Palmer; his daughters, Peggy Valdez and Peggy Rantman; his mother and step-father, Rosemary and John Goodwin; and his step-son, Nicholas. Joe also leaves behind four grandchildren, Tamra, Heather, Lucas and Jacob and three great-grandchildren, Landon, Malika and Colby. He was preceded in death by his sister, Cathy Goodwin, who passed away on February 20, 2008. A Memorial Service will be held at the New Hope Community Church in Portland, on Tuesday, December 1, 2009, at 3:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that contributions be made to Kaiser Hospice in Joe’s name. Arrangements were made with Crown Memorial Center in Milwaukie.
