Obituary of Tina Knettel
Tina passed away peacefully at home Nov. 23, 2009. She was born in Norwalk, Conn. to Ernest and Beatrice Gandrup. Tina met Bernard, her loving husband of 58 years, in Norwalk. Tina and Bernard moved to Salem from New Milford, Conn. in 1972 where she was employed with Salem hospital for 21 years before retiring. After retirement, Tina spent most of her years with friends and family. She most enjoyed her weekly trips to Spirit Mountain Casino with her friends. Tina is preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband Bernard “Bonny” of Salem; daughters Paige (Vince Trejo)Kamaka of Salem, Pam (Levi) Aguinaldo of Hawaii and Bonnie (Jerry Crawford) Knettel of Salem; Sister Faith Arnold of Norwalk, Conn., 9 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; niece Bambi Arnold and nephew Albert Arnold Jr., both of Norwalk, Conn. Tina will be greatly missed for her joy in living and unconditional love she so willingly shared with others. A Memorial Service will be held 10:00 AM, Tues. Dec. 1, at Crown Memorial Center, 412 Lancaster Dr NE in Salem. Online condolences can be left at www.anewtradition.com/obituaries/. Family has requested no flowers.
