Obituary of Connie Rhodes

Connie Rhodes, 62 of Salem, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on April 22, 2012 in a Portland Hospital following complications of Myasthenia Gravis. Connie was born in Boise, Idaho on October 24, 1949, the daughter of Harold and Vye Brown. As a small baby she moved to Oregon with her family where she was raised and educated in Independence, Oregon. She attended Henry Hill Junior High School and was active in Jobs Daughters. She graduated from Central High School with the class of 1968 in Independence. She then went to Modern Beauty School in Salem and worked as a Beautician for 14 years. She also worked as a Hostess at Meier & Frank in the “Oregon Room”. She worked for Parrish Junior High School, and retired from Leslie Middle School in 2004. She married the love of her life, Dick Rhodes in the Lutheran Church in Salem, Oregon in 1980. She loved her home, and especially enjoyed trips to the Beach. She is survived by her husband, Dick Rhodes of Salem, son Ross Rhodes of Portland, and grandsons, Noah and Braden Rhodes of Portland and Caden Rhodes of Medford. She was predeceased by her parents and brother. No services will be held per her request. Arrangements by Crown Memorial Center – Salem.
