Obituary of Robert L. Howe

Robert L. Howe passed away April 17, 2012 at Hopewell House Hospice Center. He was born in Lansing, Michigan on October 19, 1941 to Louis and Dorothy Howe. He was raised in Michigan and following high school, he took some classes in photography before joining the United States Air Force. In September of 1963 Robert was honorably discharged with the ranking of Airman First Class. Robert then went into banking and continued his career as a banker and lobbyist. He was transferred to Oregon in the mid-1980’s and on March 10, 1986 he married Penny L. Howe in Portland. Robert’s hobbies in life were his grandkids, photography, baseball and golf. He was also a Royal Rosarian. Survived by Robert are his wife Penny L. Howe of Richland, Washington; step-daughter Christina Brownlee of Richland, Washington; step-son Nick Gregory of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; granddaughters Sydney Gregory, Jordan Brownlee, Emma Brownlee; grandsons Maison Gregory, Jack Brownlee; sister Joy Larsen of San Francisco; nephews Brian and Glenn Larsen of San Francisco; brother-in-law Ford Larsen of San Francisco; and his numerous friends who are too many in number to name. He lived a full life and it was the life he wanted to live. Robert will be interred at Willamette National Cemetery, Portland, Oregon.
