Obituary of J. Loreda Libey

J. Loreda Libey was born in Woodbury, TN on February 23, 1917 to her parents Jesse and Leona Porterfield. She was one of 9 children, all girls. She was raised in Bell Buckle, TN where she graduated from High school in 1937. J. Loreda was married to Raymond E. Libey in McMinnville, TN on November 8, 1945 before moving to Lewiston, ID, where they lived for 60 years. Throughout her career, J. Loreda was a banker/Insurance Agent at First Security Bank in Lewiston, ID. While not at work, she enjoyed her family, crochet, sewing, and gardening. She also spent much of her time actively participating in the First Baptist Church-Lewiston ID, Women’s Missionary Society, Mother’s Club, Insurance Agent’s Group, and Parent Teacher Association. J. Loreda is survived by her daughter LaRayne Kisky, Lake Oswego, OR; son-in-law Christian Kisky, Lake Oswego, OR; granddaughter Jessica Kisky, Lake Oswego; grandson Curtis Kisky, Portland, OR; sisters Waudene Durain, Metairie, LA and Mabel Payne, Lewisburg, TN. She was preceded in death by her husband Raymond E. Libey; parents Jesse and Leona Porterfield; and 5 Sisters: Margie, Nell, Thelma, Ruby, Willene and Lucile.
