Obituary of June Velene Allen
June Velene Allen of Corvallis died peacefully on Thursday, March 29th at her residence. She was 90.
Born to Rachel and Grant McClellan on June, 2, 1921, June was raised primarily in Wasco, OR. She also spent a lot of time in Myrtle Point, OR.
June and her husband, Loyal, during their marriage, had one child, son Craig Lee Allen. The family lived primarily in Yachats, OR. Always an appreciative parent, June was particularly proud of Craig’s military service, where he achieved the rank of Lieutenant Commander in the Navy.
In retirement, June was known to enjoy many hobbies, including golf, playing cards with friends, and gardening. She loved the ocean, eating jelly beans and watching Dancing With the Stars.
June is survived by her son, Craig Allen (Melanie); grandchildren, Katherine and Mackenzie; and brother, Grant McClellan (Wanda).
A private family service will be held, in pursuance of June’s and Craig’s wishes.
