Obituary of Macey Reed Russell
Macey Reed Russell passed away on March 28, 2012 at his Gervais home. Macey was born to James and RubyRussell on June 5, 1922 in Pixley, California. He was raised in Langlois, Oregon, graduating from Langlois High School. He joined the U.S. Navy and on May 29, 1943 he married V. June Reed. Macey worked as a truck driver and enjoyed gardening and traveling. He loved to walk around his town talking to all his neighbors.
Survived by Macey are his children, Macie L. Younce of Woodburn, Dennis P. Russell and wife Kathy of Waco, Texas, Roxanna K. Baisch and husband Jay of Milwaukie, Terry R. Russell and wife Nancy of Lake Oswego; 6 grancdhildren; 9 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. Macey is preceded in death by his wife V. June Reed Russell, March 16, 2004.
A Memorial Service will be held on April 21st at 11am at St. Mary’s Episcopal Church in Woodburn. Memorial contributions may be made to the Shriner’s hospital or to Disabled American Veterans. Online condolences may be made at www.ANewTraditon.com, Crown Memorial Center – Tualatin.
