My brother was always kind to animals and loved nature since childhood. He never complained about his condition and was given years of special care by everyone at the Veterans Hospital. He was a Purple Heart recipient. He will always be in my heart. His sister, Ellen.

One day I found the pony Rocky loose in the barn with his head in a grain bin, and when I went in to get him, he ran back outside. So I went and got Vic and told him what happened. "He was overeating, so I shooed him out of there, and now he won't let me catch him!" Vic said, "Well, why didn't you just shut the door?" Then he got on the four-wheeler and chased Rocky down. He was always ready to help and far more practical than me. Here's to you, Señor Victor! Love, Nancy

I met Vic when he was working at Stoneybrook Stable . . . he really cared about the horses! Once we had a horse in who didn't want to eat, and Vic fixed him his "soup" made from soaked grain and alfalfa pellets. I remember coming in more than once and hearing Vic talk baby talk to the horses as he fed them . . . I know they really did appreciate it! True compassion is about what you do when you think no one is watching . . .

My Uncle Vic.I always remembered him as one cool cat.He had a way with the ladies and when I was just a pup, I always wanted to get some of that magic that my uncle Vic had. Blonde, fairly tall, with that Scandinavian look..pack of cigs rolled up in his white t-shirt sleeve, he had that James Dean look goin on. And he knew how to party some. God only knows how long he would have lived had he been a preacher man...Rest in peace Uncle Vic..You lived life with your foot on the gas. This message may not be approved by my Mother, his Sister.

Thinking of you Vic. Are you making spareribs in heaven for Mom and Maureen, and baking a frozen pie for dessert?
