Obituary of Evilo Marleen Clarkson

EVILO MARLEEN CLARKSON Evilo passed away peacefully, with her family present, on Wednesday, January 11th as a result of Multiple System Atrophy (MSA). At her request she was cremated and no funeral service will be held. Evilo was born to Ethel and Everett Osborne in Estacada, Oregon on October 14th, 1936. She graduated with high honors from Estacada High School. Evilo attended and graduated from Oregon State College majoring in business education. It was at OSC that she met her future husband, Peter. During college, Evilo became a proud member of Alpha Phi sorority. Evilo was an instructor at Mt. Hood Community College on the Maywood Park campus where she created and then taught the curriculum for Office Occupations until her retirement in 1994. During her retirement years, Evilo and Peter enjoyed travel to France, Japan and Hawaii as well as annual family gatherings at Black Butte Ranch. Evilo enjoyed gardening, particularly the care and nurturing of her roses. When family and friends stopped by, Evilo was the consummate hostess making sure there were always cookies or cake on hand to serve. We will miss her unconditional love and grace. Evilo is survived by her husband Peter, daughters Karen Alexander (Sheldon), Lynne Rooney (Sean Hoar), son Scott (Deborah) and grandchildren Nick Rooney, Karlie and Shae Domanie, brother-in-law Thomas Clarkson (Patsy), niece Angela Clarkson and nephew Andrew Clarkson. The family is grateful to the Marquis at Home caregivers and Providence Hospice staff for the professional care and compassion given Evilo during the final two years of her life.
