Obituary of Gary David Garrigues
Gary Garrigues was born and raised in Portland. He is survived by his mother, Betty Shaffer; father, Ben Garrigues; Tammi Carroll; his three children, Destiny Decklar, Desiree Birchem and Jeremy Garrigues; six grandchildren; all eight siblings; and many nieces and nephews.
Gary was a mechanic by trade most of his life. He was constantly building things, fixing things and using his creative talents. He had a positive outlook and was always laughing. He was a car enthusiast, philosopher at heart and above all, a loving father and grandfather. He taught countless people to give without seeking anything in return.
A celebration of life will be held at St. Johns Bachelor Club, Saturday, Jan. 14, 2012 at 4 p.m.
Gary will be sorely missed, although he'll always live within our hearts.
