Obituary of Mary Colliano-Farris
We wish to honor of our mother, Mary Colianno-Farris. Mom was born in Utica, NY on November 11th, 1924 and died here in this home on December 31st, 2011. She is survived by her three children, Val Jon, Rossan and Greg, their father Ross, all her grandchildren, a few close relatives such as her sister, Helen, cousin Doris and other family members and friends who loved her dearly. Let us honor the life and the death of a devoted mother, a nurturing grandmother, a cherished family member and a very real human being. Mary was resolved within herself about what she loved and what she did not. Her convictions and choices arose not from what others expected of her, but from an inner strength she called her “Divine Protector.” She lived strong and spoke her mind, and in her last few days of life she died courageously. Please light a candle to Mary's Spirit and offer any sentiments that arise within your heart about her.
