Mary Jane Rose George
June 7, 1938 – December 20, 2011
Mary Jane was born in Brownsville, Oregon to Lillian and Raymond Cunningham. She was preceded in death by Jimmie George, her husband of 48 years. Jimmie served in the Military for 20 years retiring in 1977. Mary was a dedicated Army wife, raising four children while traveling the world. She loved doing crossword puzzles, crocheting and cheering on the Green Bay Packers. She was actively involved in The Ladies of the Nile, the Scottish Society and was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Salem.
Mary is survived by her children Richard George, Deanna George, Cheryl Miller, (William-deceased 2002), respective spouses, four Grandchildren, three Great-grandchildren, Brother Raymond Cunningham and Sister Barbara Hamblin.
A memorial Mass will be at St, Joseph Catholic Church in Salem, Oregon on January 20,2012 at 10:00A.M.
Mary will be laid to rest beside her husband Jimmie at Willamette National Cemetery in Portland, Oregon. Services will be held at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Salem on January 20th at 10:00 AM
