Obituary of Bonnie L. Mercier
Mrs. Bonnie Lee McCracken Mercier, 85, died Saturday, December 24, 2011, at Providence Benedictine Nursing Center, in Mt. Angel, Oregon. Mrs. Mercier was born September 26, 1926, in Dalhart, Dallam, Texas to the late Russell Sage McCracken and Clara Myrtle Hoar McCracken Casburn. She was united in marriage to Albert Lucian Mercier on April 7, 1948 at St. Mary Cathedral, Colorado Springs, Colorado. Surviving are six children, Monica (Robert) Sava, of Oregon; Clair (Ahmad) Talyai, of Colorado; Cynthia Mrozek-Mercier, of Montana; Albert (Jean) Mercier, of Oregon; James (Jeannette) Mercier, of Kansas; and Michael (Antonia) Mercier, of California. Also, to mourn her passing is a sister, Betty Ehn, of Colorado. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Cassandra Mrozek and a great-grandson, Chancellor Abram Smith. Bonnie was a history buff, she enjoyed flowers and residing verses from the bible, she was of the Catholic faith. Burial will be in Memorial Gardens, Colorado Springs, El Paso, Colorado.
