Obituary of Cheryl Rae Anderson
Cheryl Rae (Mootz) Anderson of Canby passed peacefully in her home on December 23, 2011. Cheryl was born in Grand Forks, North Dakota on March 20, 1944 to Clifford and Ethel Mootz. Cheryl’s family moved to Oregon in 1955 and Cheryl went to 91 Grade School and graduated from Canby High School in 1962.
Cheryl married her high school sweetheart, David Anderson, on May 9, 1964, and together they spent many years traveling, entertaining and spending time with their friends and family. They were married 47 years. Cheryl recently expressed to her family that she was grateful for the full and joyful life that she lived. She appreciated the years she and David had together and felt they had done nearly all of the things they wanted to do. Mostly she was thankful for the years with her family and especially the close time she spent with her two grand-daughters.
Cheryl is survived by her husband David, her son Dan Anderson, daughter Kim (Sean) Ragain, two grandaughters, Riley and Abby, her father and stepmother, Cliff and Marion Mootz, her brothers Jerry (Brenda) Mootz and Steve Mootz, and sister Stacey (David) Watson.
Please join the family in celebrating Cheryl’s life on Saturday, January 7th at 4pm at Grand Central Station. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, make contributions to a charity of your choice.
