Obituary of William James Doering

William "Bill" Doering was a wonderful father and Grandfather. Bill was preceded in death by his mother and father-(James P. Doering),as well as his brothers (Chris Doering & Bruce Doering). He leaves behind a wife-Molly Doering, Son-Michael Doering, Daughter-Molly Doering, and four grandchildren. He also leaves behind His brothers; John Doering, James Doering, Joseph Doering, Step Mother-Caroline Doering, Step Brothers; Steve Johnson, Joel Johnson, Tim Johnson. And Step Sister's-Sister's Becky Don, Beth Millard, Martha, & Eden Spurlin. Bill Enjoyed life to the fullest, and always wanted to be in the thick of things. When he was younger, he joined the military for a short period just as his other brothers did. He loved to tell stories and comment about all types of subjects, even when he didn’t know anything about the subject. Bill held several jobs through his lifetime including police and security officer jobs. Later in life Bill volunteered at the VA with the Graves Registration people. Bill had a fascination of old historical cemeteries as well, which he had turned into a part time business. Bill enjoyed eating at the Old Country Buffet restaurant as often as he could as well. Some people might say that Bill was a pack rat of sorts, but he kept everything he ever had, since Bill saw value in everything. I enjoyed the trips we took together to Oaks Park to ride the rides and to roller skate at the rink when I was a kid. I enjoyed the few fishing trips we took, and the frequent talks we had. I tried to be there for you even though the distance across the country was great. You will always be my big brother, and I will miss you greatly. Watch over Bruce & Chris in Heaven for me, as well as Mom & Dad, and I will see you again one day as we meet in heaven. Love, your brother John.
