Born in Blue Island, IL, Maybelle came to Portland in 1942 and met her future husband Don. They were married Sept 1946. She went to college and raised 4 children and worked in advertising. She left behind her husband Don, daughters Susan and Linda, granddaughter Rebekah and great-grandchildren Joshua, Jason and Stella.
