Great Grandma, I remember every time you would come over, my doggy, Roxy, would curl up to your feet and protect over you. We will all miss you, including Roxy.

Great Grandma, whenever we would go anywhere, you would always bless us and want to pay for everything and my mom would stuff the money back in your purse, it was funny to watch. I am going to miss not seeing you sitting on your red chair and asking us for a hug. Your hugs were so warm and tight. I love you and miss you.

Great grandma, you were a good grandma. Whenever we were going somewhere to go shopping you would argue to buy things. You always liked to go places with us and you liked to have parties and always loved on us girls. I am going to miss the good times we had. I am sad that I only had 7 years with grandma. You always gave us cards and would come and visit us and talk with us and cared about what we were doing in school and stuff. You were very special to me and I will miss you.

Joanne was a light in my life from the day I was born. We were not only cousins but also best friends for so many years. I always looked up to her and learned from her. We had so many fun experiences over the past 61/2 decades. We laughed over the craziest things and she always saw the bright side of every situation. She truly was an inspiration to those who knew her. She loved life and enjoyed each day. She had a bright hope for the future of being resurrected to a Paradise Earth and I know that was a great comfort to her during her final days. (John 5:29, Revelation 21:3,4) She will be so greatly missed.

Of course I will choose the PINK candle. Joanne was a true Mary Kay star. She gave the best of herself to everyone else. She always put others ahead of her own needs. I was blessed to have had her in my life for the past 24 years. Joanne loved her family and spoke proudly of each member. Unfortunately, I will be staying home from the Memorial Service with a bad cold. I want to be there, but it would not be fair to everyone who comes to have someone ill show there.

You will be missed. You are the strongest woman I know. You have taught me more about hope and love than I could put into words. I look forward to the day we will once again laugh over a cup of coffee (I know there is coffee in heaven). I am greatful for every ounce of care you have shown me and your greatgrandaughters. They will keep your memory alive and well, you will always be a part of who we are.

You were a special friend and I will always remember our times together whether it was having lunch together or whatever. You were one of the people I missed most when I moved to South Dakota. May you Rest in Peace!
