Obituary of James Chappell
James Chappell passed away in Portland, OR on November 26th, 2011. He was 65. Born May 25th, 1946 in New Bedford, Massachusetts, he was raised primarily in Fairhaven, MA before moving to Oregon in the summer of 1956. A veteran of the United States Navy, he attended Portland Community College, concentrating his schooling on mechanics and upholstery. He earned his living as a school bus driver and as a vehicle mechanic. He enjoyed coin collecting, woodworking (furniture) and camping.
He is survived his sister Gail Pline and niece Dianne Brooks. James’s remains are scheduled to be interred at Willamette National Cemetery.
