Obituary of Robert Louis Alfano

Robert Louis Alfano March 29, 1929 – November 19, 2011 Robert Louis Alfano of Clackamas, Oregon died in his home November 19, 2011 with family at his side. He was born March 29, 1929 in Portland, Oregon and was the son of Tony and Rose Alfano. On March 12, 1949 he married Edna Florence Brennan. They were married nearly 55 years until she passed away in February of 2004. They had 3 children; Robert, Susan and Tony. Robert was a Merchant Marine and in the Navy before becoming a Boilermaker and retiring in 1993. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends as well as classic cars and motorcycles. Survivors include son, Robert Lynn Alfano of Joseph, OR, Susan J. Alfano of Portland, OR, and son Tony Ellis and wife “Buzzy” Alfano of Eagle Creek, OR. He is also survived by sister, Natalie Quimby of Dundee, OR as well as 8 grandchildren, Melissa Alfano-Sanchez, Molly King, Tracy Cristofaro, Katie Conrad, Emma McCandlish, Amy McCandlish, Daniel Tatro and Tim McCandlish as well as 6 great grandchildren, Tyler, Conner, Matthew, Nicholas, Aubrey and Andrew. A private service will be held for family at The Old Scotch Church Cemetery in North Plains, on Saturday, December 10, 2011 at 10:00 am, Followed by a public gathering of friends and family at the home of his granddaughter Tracy, 12958 Frontier Parkway, Oregon City from 1:30-5:00 pm.
