Obituary of Ellen Carmel Regina Cullen Kepic

Ellen Kepic passed away peacefully from natural causes on 11/12/11 surrounded by her family. She was born in Queens, NY to Peter and Johanna Cullen. She attended Richmond High School. She moved to the Northwest in 1968 and worked for 38 years for NW Kaiser Permanente/Health Plan until 11/7/11. She traveled the world, but most important were her special trips with her grandchildren. She was an avid cook and a superb hostess. She was known to be the chauffeur amongst her friends to play Bingo, attend the Symphony and Theater, luncheons and Senior trips. Ellen loved the phone, being with her family, donating to St. Jude Children's Hospital and other charities, her garden, swimming, the Oregon Coast, finding new places to dine and having lunch with her brothers. Her most remembered qualities are her generosity, unselfish devotion and unconditional love for her family. She is survived by her son; Robert Kepic, daughters; Kathleen Schreiter and Vicky Wasteney, son-in-law; Randy Wasteney, daughter-in-law; Caron Kepic, grandchildren; Katie Kepic, Casey, Sarah and Sadie Schreiter, Melissa, Duke, and Megan Wasteney, great grandchild; Emalee Pearl and her brothers; Peter, John and Joe Cullen. She was proceded in death by her oldest grandchild, Kyle Kepic. Her service will be on Saturday, November 19, 2011 at 10 am at St. Andrew Catholic Church 806 NE Alberta Ave. in Portland.
