What a shock it was reading about the passing of Larry. Even though we were far away and I haven't seen him for a while, I considered him a friend. We had so many fine discussions that I will treasure forever. My thought are going out to his family, especially Karla who has always been my devoted manager at Rebel Tours. I wish you all the strenght but know you will overcome. You are a strong lady. May God help you through these days. And I hope we will be talking soon. Ramon Rebel

I know my good friend Larry has been welcomed by Jesus and received a "well done my good and faithful servant". I wish he had not been called Home so soon, but God's plan is perfect. Larry leaves a legacy that is so very impressive; including, a great family and many, many friends who have been enriched by knowing him, particularly in their spiritual lives. He left us all with a great example of what Jesus' said and showed us about friendship. Larry's first concern regarding his friends was to be helpful to them, never expecting anything in return. Larry was particularly helpful to me in my spiritual growth, which we addressed over many recent breakfasts, rounds of golf, shared books and prayers. I believe God used him in my life (and in the life of many). I am forever grateful for that. Goodbye for now good friend. I look forward to seeing you again, in Heaven. A. H.

Larry was a great man and a personal friend. During my years working for him I learned about kindess, generousity, and celebration of the little things. His continued life of giving, sharing and always looking for the good in others is somthing that has made a lasting change in my life. He believed in me, gave me encouragement, direction, and advice during the hardest times of my life, and chose to be my friend for the remaining years. I will miss him on earth but know that someday I will be able to see him again in Heaven.

Karla, It has been quite a few years now since I worked for Larry in the BEST office of St. Louis. I remember Larry sharing with me that he wanted those whose lives he touched to be better off having known and worked with him. Many of the things I do as a factory rep today and have done in the sales field for some time now; I learned from Larry. He also was an encouragement to live a Christian life on and off the job. I'm thankful to have had the opportunity to have worked for and known him. If I can share a memory about Larry I've not forgotten. Larry and I had a breakfast meeting one morning and he was determined I should learn to drink coffee as customers would sometimes offer it to us in a meeting. Larry sat a cup of coffee in front of me that morning and wouldn't let me leave until I'd drunk the cup of coffee. I've been drinking coffee since and often think of him when having a good cup of coffee. I'll be praying for you, Stacy and Karie and John also and especially on Thursday. Larry is with the LORD as God has promised "to be absent from the body is to be present with the LORD." God Bless Steve Gavaza

Karla, I wanted to thank you very much for sharing your husband with us. Larry was a great inspiration to me as a man who could deeply love life, his Lord and not compromise his convictions. He truly was one of the best examples of leadership I have ever had the privilege of experiencing. He will be greatly missed. I do have a great confidence we will see him again though. I have no doubt of that. You are in Renita's and my prayers, as is your family. Christ's Love, Mark

My condolences to Larry's family – I worked for Larry for two years. I smile when I think about how he arrived new to our office with a box of singing mice and cymbal playing monkeys to decorate his office. I am sure he is already entertaining a crowd in heaven :) Godspeed Larry!

Karla, Stacey, Karie; Larry has been my equiviilant of what Jonathan was to David, a true best friend and more. Proverbs reminds us that Iron sharpens iron like man sharpens another , Larry has been that man, friend , and brother I never had, and one who gave me so much as he did so many others. How a man lives his life over time tells a lot about the man, how he dies tells everything. Larry , continued to live, love, and serve others until called home, leaving this life full, with dignity, and having finished the race well. I can only pray I will follow his example. The last time we saw each other I told him would not say goodbye, but rather "I will see you again". What a joy for me to know I will see him again, hopefully soon and so will you. God Bless You-Dear Friends Bob& Marianne Esty

It a great regret that I did not have a chance to get to know this talented man better. The minute I met Larry I knew he had great wisdom and that I would be fortunate to be able to work with such a man. He obviously loved a challege, and had a zest for life. The world is always at a loss when such a person leaves us before his time. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and the Lightspeed family.

We met Larry last August during the last Lightspeed event in Portland. We could see there the high consideration he had in front of all Lightspeed´s people. We could follow some of his presentations and how he transmited motivation and ethic in business . We were positively impressed by his personality and his leadership. Larry was the kind of person all of us want to have as a friend. I am sure he will wait for us in heaven. God bless Larry and his family. Manuel G. To the Stark family, Larry was always a larger than life figure in my mind. Every year or so over the last 5 years, Larry and I would meet to discuss business and life generally when I visited from Australia. While the chat would always be humorous, at the conclusion would come a concise, correct and easily understood message that would burn into me and offer inspirational until the next time we crossed paths. And a smile. My sister Jane remembers Larry fondly from her visit to Portland a couple of years ago; at one function, there was no doubt as to the influence Larry had on her, and vice versa, as I could hear their howling laughter from the other side of the room. A great man. A great influence. Our condolences on behalf of the Hear and Learn people in Australia, David Downing

The Balcony The soloist sang and the preacher preached. Many stood and expressed deep and heart felt thoughts. Family paid tribute with tears and words of joy and love. Thus the life of a child of God was honored. Friends and colleagues spoke warm words of fond memories and special meanings. Meanwhile, there was a gathering in the balcony above. If one looked closely, as through a glass darkly, they could see Dad and Mom Stark with tears of pure joy cascading down their cheeks. There too was Great-grandmother Baker, who prayed for each of her loved ones. Off to the side sat the Apostles, Paul, John and Peter. Oh yes, others were gathered. In the great cloud of witnesses were Luther, John Calvin and a host of Saints long departed, but all singing the Hallelujah Chorus. There in their midst was a new arrival, beaming with joy and happiness, and we know him by his faith. Larry Alan Stark is now cheering us home to join him and his new friends. Written in honor of Larry by his loving brother, John

Karla, I wish I had words that would make you feel better. Just know, I held a tremendous amount of respect of how strong a person Larry was. He often commented to me he wanted to finish strong. There is no doubt he accomplished his goal. I will enjoy the memory of his smile and wit. He will definitely be missed but hopefully in time, his memories will bring a smile to you. Good Luck to you and your family. God Bless, Bill

Karla and family, Since Larry and you pulled me aside at the COE Banquet in Portland last August and made me aware of the return of the JOURNEY, I have felt a heaviness. The years were so short. I know you feel that. I was hoping for the time to grow old with him deepening our friendship. I know you hoped for that for you and your family. I listened to the service online and am thankful. Thankful for his penetration into lives with the glow and power that matters. Pointing to the Joy he knew. Reminding us that this is not all that is to be. None of us will be the same. We seek to never be the same. God' Richest Power as you bask in the brilliance of the support revealed Thursday by family and friends mindful that if you experience a slight dimming as you ache for Larry's physical presence, God's brilliant, rich power really is still there and always will be guiding us, comforting us, counseling us, wooing us, now and forever... Larry was a delightful individual whom I truely admired. We had the good fortune to have known one another through the association of another Lightspeed associate, my late wife Gail. Larry and Gail were terrrific together on this Earth. That same team, I am certain, are doing just as wonderful now that they are again together. He made an extra degree difference in all our lives...
