Obituary of Beverly Mae Oathes

May 3, 1924 – March 30, 2010 Beverly Mae Oathes, 85, passed away on March 30, 2010 in Tigard, Oregon. Beverly was born in Fargo, North Dakota on May 3, 1924 to Wynn and Ruby Farrell. Beverly’s family moved to Oregon in 1928. She attended St Mary’s (Portland & Salem); she graduated from Coquille High School in Coquille, Oregon. Beverly married Robert Hoover in 1943 in Bandon, Oregon. Robert passed away in 1944. Beverly later married Arnold Oathes in 1947 in Portland, Oregon. Arnold passed away in 1988. Beverly worked as a supervisor at Tektronix for about 20 years. In her spare time Beverly enjoyed smoking, drinking, and gambling. Beverly was a long time member of the St. Cecilia’s Catholic Church in Beaverton, and also a Charter Member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church also of Beaverton, Oregon. Beverly is survived by her daughters, Gloria (Michael) Wells of Sherwood and Cynthia Meredith (Glenn Ezelle) of Portland; son, Randall Oathes (Nancy Fischer) of Portland; sister Patricia (Martin) Lavelle of Portland; 8 grand-children; 9 great grand-children; and many friends from Tektronix, Nendels, Audionics, The Overlook Apartments, and Malone’s. Beverly was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Hoover in 1944; husband, Arnold Oathes in 1988; Father Wynn Farrell in 1962; and mother, Ruby Farrell in 1978.
