Obituary of Dave George Teeny
Dave George Teeny Dave was born in Portland, Oregon on December 3, 1933 and peacefully left this world by natural causes on October 29, 2021. He died as he would have wished at his home and without any ado.
He graduated from Franklin High School and served in the US Army from 1956 to 1958.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 34 years, Gordene Teeny. He is survived by his two step- daughters Judy Goetsch and Patricia Baird; his two sisters Rachel Habre and Edith Jones, 3 step-granddaughters, 7 great step- grandchildren and 29 nieces and nephews.
Most of his working life was spent as the owner and manager of Teeny’s Department Store in downtown Milwaukie, Oregon. As shopping malls increased in popularity and the need for local main street stores businesses decreased, he finally made the decision to close the store but continued to be an apparel salesman until his retirement.
Dave was an avid reader, loved square dancing, golfing, and playing cards with his friends. He was a man with deep moral compass and an active member of the Oak Hills Presbyterian Church.
He was known for his great sense of humor, was kind to everyone and loved by all. During this time of year, people often ask what we are thankful for, and I know I speak for many when I say we are thankful for each day we were able to spend with Dave George Teeny
A Military service and Celebration of Life is planned for late Spring of 2022
