Marilyn, you are missed and loved dearly. You were the best mother-in-law a man could ask for. But I do have to say I will miss our back and forth about your drinking escapades - ha ha!
Love your Saint!

Mom I miss you every second of each day. I miss our adventures, your laugh, your hug and your love. I keep thinking I need to go to the east side and then I remember, momma isn’t there. I wish I could still care for you and bring you goody bags. I wish me you and June were heading out to the casino. I long for our happy hours at Saylers. I love you so much and I’m so happy that your pain is gone. You were a bright spot in my day, I love you.

Marilyn was a very special person, she was very kind and warm. She raised my best friend and my life wouldn't be anywhere near as good as it is, if she hadn't. She was loved dearly by her children and her relatives and friends. She never judged or criticized people that she knew. I thought very highly of her. She will be missed, she's in heaven now.

Granny you live in the memories we hold and lessons you’ve taught. The love you gave is beyond measure just like the beauty of your smile and laughter.
Love you forever.

I loved my sister very much, did her shopping from time to time, watched over her, fixed her and there, etc as she got older as I did for my father and mother in their old age. I would talk and visit with her everyday until she passed. Survived by her brother Tommy Ray.

I remember when i was little you would take care of me when i got sick. your contagious laugh and having a great time whenever we visited you. I wish i visited more often. I will miss the holidays getting to see you and giving you a big hug and a kiss. You were always happy to see me. you loved, and took care of all of us. I will always cherish the times we had and although I'm sad about you being gone, you are no longer in pain. You're in heaven with papa Johnny and papa Phipps now.
I love you very much, and i will miss you.
Your grandson, Justin

Granny, words cannot describe what you mean to me, and how much I love you. You made me the person I am today. You raised me from the age of 7 on, and I cannot thank you enough for everything you have done for me. I had the best childhood, and a wonderful home full of unconditional love. I think of you as my Mom, not Granny. I Miss you terribly, and wish I could bring you, your favorite coffee drink and we could sit and talk, and laugh for hours like we did. I have so many wonderful memories, and I will cherish them forever, and always. What I would give to hear your voice, and that laugh again. Rest in peace Granny, Love you with all of my heart. xoxo

I was so blessed to know Marilyn, I had the honor of working with her at the bank, as well as, with her daughter June many years earlier. She was a kick, her humor was infectious, she was beautiful and kind .She loved to play the lottery machines, which is one of our bad habits that we both have in common. Her daughter June lives across the street from us and I remember them both coming over and having a shot of tequila together and laughing about old times. Marilyn you will be missed dearly.

I remember vividly her house before it was slightly remodeled in the kitchen area and the joy she would bring, but most of all the fun and warm Christmas’s she would host at her house. All the family would come over and lights would be on with the tree a glow. It was a great time and wish we could have one more.

I have known Marilyn since her daughter June and I were in the 7th grade. I spent almost every weekend at their home through out high school. SHE WELCOMED ME AS ONE OF THE FAMILY and even entrusted me to drive her Thunderbird down to the corner store! June and I made some mischief on the weekends but we always knew we could tell her anything. She had such a kind heart for people. One year she knew my family was not going to be able to celebrate Christmas, so she gave me the only gift I got that year.... I loved her dearly...second to my own mother! I will miss her very much and pray for peace for her family. Rest in peace, Marilyn!

I've known Marilyn for 42 years. It started when I was fresh out of high school and went to work at Grange Mutual Insurance. I was young and timid and that crazy Italian lady was kind of scary. Seven years later, after leaving and coming back, the crazy Mare took me under her wing and our friendship was forged. She was loud and hilarious, with endless stories of her escapades. 30-35 years ago, we went on the first of our beach trips that lasted decades. Four of us from the office and two agents all gathered at the house back in the hills at the coast. Marilyn and I slept out in the motor home, and had a blast. We'd stay up talking in the house until 1am, then the two of us would stay up even later out there. I can't say what all was said and done, but suffice to say laughter was 90% of our evening. Mornings consisted of us waiting for her to put her "face" on, then watching her hustle outside because a hot flash had her face melting off. She loved to go to the casino, and hang out with Corrine and Karen. Now the three of them can do so again. She had a heart that was full of love for her family and friends. A loving woman, who never ceased to make you laugh. You will be missed so much, my Mare-bear. Rest in peace.
