Obituary of Leila June Hauf
Life well lived never dies…it continues to embrace us.
Leila June (Lee) Hauf passed away on September 6, 2020, at the age of 98.
She was born on February 18, 1922, in Phillips, Nebraska to Asa and Leota Kirkpatrick.
She was married to Robert William Hauf, whom she married on December 24, 1945, in Norton, Kansas.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years and her sisters Virginia Stahlnecker and Donna Nicholson and brothers Dean, Raymond, and Larry Kirkpatrick.
She is survived by daughters Betty Nicholas (son- in law Robert Nicholas) of Sedona, Arizona, and Jan Umbras[son-in law John Umbras) of Lake Oswego, Oregon.
Throughout the earlier part of her life, Lee enjoyed golf, fishing, and camping with her family and friends. In her later years, she enjoyed crossword and jigsaw puzzles and spending time with family and friends.
