Obituary of Russell Lowell Vaughn
Russell Lowell Vaughn, 83, of Portland, Oregon passed away on February 20,2020 surrounded lovingly by his family.
Russ was born January 11,1937 in Sacramento, California, He graduated High School in 1955.
From there he continued his education at California Baptist College and earned his degree in 1968. That same year he was Ordained into the ministry as a Southern Baptist minister.
Russell married Lu Anne in 1957, and started a family. They were married for 63 years.
Russ spent over 50 years in service to Jesus Christ our Lord and was loyal to the
Southern Baptist Convention. He was a pastor at churches in California and Oregon.
He is survived by his wife Lu Anne Vaughn, Daughters Barbara Thorne and Deanna Vaughn, Grandchildren Jo Anna Yip, Andree Johnson, Richard Andreasen, Chelsea Merrigan and Brady Merrigan, Great Grandchildren Alexis, Ella, Cooper, Natalie, Parker and Russell, and Brothers Richard Vaughn, Michael Vaughn, Patrick Vaughn
Celebration of life will be held at
Mill Park Baptist Church
