Obituary of Philip Francis Lyster
Philip Francis Lyster died on Feb 4, 2020 from Al Cardiac Amyloidosis. He was born April 9, 1954 in Portland Oregon. He lived in the Portland area his entire life. One of his first jobs, mowing grass at Broadmoor Golf Course, inspired his lifelong work as a landscaper. He met his wife of 33 years, Sue at a Landscape firm. They eventually started their own landscape Company and continued working side by side till 2016. Phil was full of life and even with all his health issues beyond the current one through the years he enjoyed working around plants, making fires in his favorite fire pit, going camping at the beach, watching sports, hanging out with his cats, laughing with friends, or just being with his wife and enjoying life. Phil was a loving husband to Sue, and a fiercely dedicated friend to many from his grade school and high school years, to professional customers and colleagues, and of course his camping friends. He loved to build the fire and keep it going. He will be missed by many. He was predeceased by his parents Harold, and Marjorie. He is survived by his wife, Sue, brothers Bill (Jere), John (Jo Ellen), sister Monica, nephew Sean, and niece Molly Tamayo. He is survived by Sue’s family Don, Julie, Jeanene and David. To celebrate Phil's life an Open house is planned Feb. 22nd. from 4-8pm. at Pioneer Community Center, 615 5th St., Oregon City, 97045
